Mt Hay Retreat defies the odds to win Silver for 5 Star Luxury Accommodation at the Qantas Australian Tourism Awards 2024 in Adelaide!
We had the incredible honor of representing NSW at the Qantas Australian Tourism Awards in Adelaide, having won Gold for 5 Star Luxury Accommodation at the NSW Awards in November 2024. Going through to compete against the Award Winners from each state – not quite a head to head battle, but up against some serious heavyweights!
For this small family owned and operated business it was such a thrill to be in the room with some incredible businesses! Proof that you don’t have to be big to excel.
Hosted by the Australian Tourism Industry Council, the awards showcase the outstanding achievements of businesses and individuals across the tourism economy, with operators from all across Australia gathering in Adelaide to celebrate the best of the best!
Although usually shying away from the limelight, preferring gardening in a good pair of Blundstones to sparkles and high heels, Louise traveled to Adelaide for the award ceremony, with Anthony (even more averse to cameras than Louise!) staying at home to look after our lovely guests and ensure the smooth running of the retreat.
