Drawing Room Rocks is one of the most iconic walks in the Berry area, offering a unique combination of natural beauty and geological wonder. Located within the Barren Grounds Nature Reserve, this trail is known for its dramatic rock formations that resemble tables and chairs, which have inspired the walk’s name.
The trail begins with a gradual climb through dense Eucalypt forest, providing ample shade and the soothing sounds of native bird-life.
As you ascend, the trees thin out, revealing panoramic views of the Illawarra coastline and the verdant valleys below. The summit rewards walkers with 360-degree views that stretch from the ocean to the escarpment—a perfect spot to pause and take in the scenery. Seven Mile Beach

Berry’s Secret Waterfall

Bundewallah waterfall is tucked away in a secluded and corner of Berry. Off the beaten track as far as walks go – this one is gradually becoming more well known and is worth a visit before it becomes too popular!
Bomaderry Creek Walk
Distance: 5km return
Difficulty: Medium some steep places
Duration: 1–2 hours
Accessed off Narang Road, Bomaderry, signs on the left side of the road. Head South on the riverside track for amazing rock overhangs and caves along the river, ancient gums and lots of birdlife and native flowers.
Walking shoes needed as there are rocky parts and steps cut into the bank and over boulders. A shorter flatter walk along the top of the rocks and through trees lies off to the right of the track heading northwest.
Bens Walk
Distance: 5km.
Difficulty: Easy
Duration: 1-2 hours
Begin at breathtaking Hanging Rock Lookout and adventure on this 5km, loop walk, passing rock overhangs, boulders, a suspension bridge and views over the Shoalhaven River.
Bens Walk, Nowra
Minnamurra Rainforest Loop Walk
Distance: 4.2 km loop
Difficulty: Easy to moderate
Duration: 1.5–2 hours
For a completely different walking experience, the Minnamurra Rainforest Loop Walk offers a journey through a lush, subtropical rainforest just a short drive from Berry.
