What’s the difference between your suites?

All of our Luxury Suites are very large (c.80 sq. M) with beautiful baths on the front deck to enjoy the views.  They also have rain head showers in the bathroom and are perfect for 2 people. 

Our Signature Suites are each a little different.  Still suited to 2 people, but each with their own unique offering.  The Big Blue has an extra large round bath on the front deck, whereas the Escarpment suite has a beautiful large square bath in it’s spectacular marble bathroom.  If you’re looking for your own spa bath – the Berry Spa Suite is the only suite with a spa bath for two in the vaulted ceiling bathroom.

It just depends on your preference.

How many people can you accommodate in each suite?

Each of our suites accommodates 2 people only.

Where can I get the best rate? 

When you book directly with us, you receive our best available rate, priority accommodation allocation, and a more personal experience from the moment you reserve.

No third parties — just the privacy, peace, and care Mt Hay Retreat is known for.

Do you have good internet and mobile signal?

We have very good internet and mobile signal.

Can we check in early?

Check in time is usually 3pm.  We can sometimes accommodate an earlier check in, depending on availability.  If you would like an early check in, please let us know in advance and we will do or best to accommodate you. 

We do often message guests if their suite is available for check in before 3pm, just in case you may be close by and can come early.  So do make sure we have your mobile number.

We have dinner booked in town – are there taxis?

The taxi service in Berry is available when booked in advance – Berry Taxis on 02 4464 3181. There are sometimes Ubers available however we also recommend booking them in advance.  They can find us easily using google maps.

Do you have Netflix?

All our suites have Smart TV’s that are connected to the internet.  So you can log in to your own Netflix or Stan account and continue watching your favourite shows.

Do you have Videos?

DVD players are only available by advance request. Please email us prior to your arrival so we can have it set up in your suite for you.

Can I charge my EV?

We do provide the facility to charge EV vehicles – by prior arrangement, for a nominal fee.  We do not have a specific charging point, rather a number of external power points that you are welcome to use – subject to availability. Remember to bring your own cable!

Do you allow pets?

Unfortunately, we are unable to welcome pets to Mt Hay.  Mt Hay Retreat is in a protected escarpment zone.   

Where are the closest shops to pick up supplies and groceries?

Grocery supplies and liquor can be purchased at the Berry IGA and at the many fantastic food establishments in Berry.  If you have any specific needs – just reach out to us and we will do our best to point you in the right direction.

The IGA is open from 6am to 9pm daily.

Can we check out late?

Check out is 10am, unless you purchase a decadent late checkout – 12 noon – which is available, when you book.  We can sometimes accommodate a later check out – but it is strictly by prior arrangement only. 

Do you allow one-night bookings?

We can sometimes accommodate one night bookings – our availability is updated regularly on our website.

Can we pay via bank transfer or cash?

Absolutely.  A bank transfer incurs no bank fees – just give us a call or drop us a note and we can make arrangements.

A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking, with the remaining 50% payable on arrival. 

Do you provide massages and treatments?

Yes, we have a team of local, fully trained massage therapists who can visit the retreat to massage you in your suite.  Just let us know what you would like and we will take it from there.  Checkout our extras page for latest pricing.  Don’t forget to let us know when you would like your treatments so we can arrange them.

Can I just visit and use the facilities at Mt Hay?

All of the facilities and property surrounding Mt Hay are exclusively for the use of guests staying at the retreat.  If you fancy a dip on the pool, or wander in the gardens – book to stay with us now!

Do I get exclusive use of the pool when I book to stay at Mt Hay?

We have an incredible 33m indoor heated pool & spa at Mt Hay – Which is better than you’ll find in most big hotels! Use of it is strictly limited to the 6 suites we have here at Mt Hay. We are adults only so there are no kids and as there are only ever 6 couples maximum staying, it would be rare to not have the pool area all to yourselves.

Can I buy a Gift Certificate?

Gift Certificates are available either on our website or over the phone.  We can either offer a ‘stay’ or a Gift Voucher to a dollar value – if you prefer.

We can also include extras such as massages, flowers or a bottle of Champagne – just let us know. All our Gift Vouchers have a 3 year validity.
